PES conducts training workshops on basic forecasting, data analysis

The Philippine Economic Society (PES) conducted parallel training workshops on basic forecasting and on basic data analysis on 07 November 2017 at the Novotel Manila, Araneta Center, Quezon City.

The session Introduction to Basic Forecasting was facilitated by Dr. Lawrence Dacuycuy of the De La Salle University School of Economics, while the session Introduction to Stata and Basic Data Analysis was facilitated by economists and statisticians Miann Banaag, Jerik Cruz, and Jayvy Gamboa from the Ateneo School of Government.

The training workshops were participated in by more than forty trainees from the government, the academe, and the private sector.

The training workshops are part of pre-conference activities leading up to the 55th Annual Meeting and Conference held on 08 November 2017.
