Meanwhile, Dr. Noel de Guzman of the Ateneo Department of Economics presented his perspectives on the teaching and practice of economics.

The afternoon session was devoted to small group discussions where the participating teachers shared their insights on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of teaching economics in high school. Ateneo economics professors served as facilitators of the discussions.

The outreach seminar-workshop was co-organized by the Philippine Economic Society, NEDA, and the Ateneo Department of Economics, as one of the activities towards the promotion of economic and financial literacy pursuant to Republic Act 10922 or the Economic and Financial Literacy Act.
