Mr. Luisito C. Abueg, MA
Mr. Abueg is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics (cum laude) from UPLB and his Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD). He had worked in various research and training capacities in previous local and international research organizations such as the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, Institute of Philippine Culture of Ateneo de Manila University, World Bank Manila Office, Office of Regional Integration of the Asian Development Bank, International Labour Organisation Manila Office, and Fashion Revolution Philippines and the British Council. His research interests cover mathematical economics, economic statistics, economic history, and gender economics.
He has served as a copy editor for the National Book Development Board of the Philippines. He has published textbooks for basic economic education and research, including Applied Economics, Practical Research 1 & 2 (Oxford University Press), and Ekonomiks: ang Pilipinas at ang sandaigdigan (St. Augustine Publications Manila). Currently, he is also an associate editor of the Journal of Economics, Management, and Agricultural Development, published by the College of Economics and Management, UPLB.
